WebSeva's first-ever partner non-profit was Abhilasha Samiti. In fact, the idea of WebSeva came to Abhishek (founder of WebSeva) during his time interning at Abhilasha as a software engineer.
About Abhilasha
Abhilasha Samiti is a voluntary organization in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand Operating nationally, it focuses on improving livelihoods, social work, biodiversity, human trafficking, health awareness, women empowerment, culture, and gender issues.
It conducts public awareness campaigns on the right to education and provides employment-oriented training for Self Help Groups, especially in Pithoragarh and other districts of Uttarakhand like Champawat, Almora, and Bageswar.
Projects done by Abhilasha
Abhilasha has served in more than 120 villages across Uttarakhand and has conducted various projects such as Securer Himalaya (in Dharchula), the Spring Shed Management Training Program (in Gangolihat), nursery development, and their flagship school program in Didhat, which has so far provided quality education to over 200+ kids up to grade 8 at a fraction of the cost.
